In my opinion, teenagers should volunteer in the community. It is a good idea for many reasons.

First, volunteering helps other people. For example, teenagers can help old people or children who need help with homework. This is very good for the community. Second, teenagers learns new things when they volunteer. They learn to work with people and to be responsible.

On the other hand, some people say that teenagers are too busy. It is true that they have alot of homework. But a few hours a week is not too much.

To sum up, I think that volunteering is good for teenagers and for the community. Every teenager should try it.

I think volunteering is ok but I dont have time. Last summer I went to the beach with my family and it was so fun, we swim every day and eat ice cream. My brother is volunteering in a hospital, he say it is boring sometimes. Teenagers have alot of homework and tests and also they wanna meet friends. So maybe no. Thats it.

Should every teenager give a few hours a week to the community? In my view, the answer is yes, as long as the activity matches the student's interests.

The most obvious reason is that volunteering benefits those who need support. Teenagers who tutor younger pupils or visit elderly neighbours make a real difference to people's lives. Moreover, volunteers develop skills that no classroom can teach, such as patience, teamwork and responsibility, all of which will be valuable at work later on.

Admittedly, many students are already under pressure from exams and homework. However, two or three hours a week is a realistic commitment, and many volunteers say that helping others actually reduces their stress.

To conclude, community service should be part of every teenager's week. Schools could support this by offering a wide choice of projects, so that each student finds something meaningful.
